Frequently Asked Questions
- 1. How do I login to the system?
- You must have a username and password that has been supplied to you
from your child's school. Click on the Parent Assistant image above
to access the system.
- 2. I don't have a username and password! How do I get one?
- You can pick up your username and password by going to the school
of your oldest child. You are required to present a photo ID to get
your username and password.
- 3. Can I change my contact and demographic information online?
- Yes you can. When you log into the system and select your child's
name from the menu, click on the "General info" menu and select either
"Demographics" or "Emergency Contacts". You can update information in
fields by simply clicking into them and typing.
- 4. Can someone else gain access or change my information?
- No. Each family is assigned a unique username and password. This
gives only you access to your family's information. Please ensure that
you protect your username and password and not give them to anyone.
- 5. My username and password are not working, what should
I do?
- You should contact the school of your oldest student. They can confirm
your password and can also reset it if necessary. You will be required
to provide a photo ID for assistance with usernames and passwords.
- 6. How do I log off the Parent Assistant system when I am
finished?
- Please click on the "Log Off" button in the upper right corner of
your window. Then just close your browser.
- 7. I am running Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6 and when trying
to log into the system, I got a message that says that I did not have
the appropriate Java plug-in required to view the site.
- You need to install the Sun Microsystems Java Virtual Machine. Download
the plug-in: Sun Java VM at: http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html

set by your browser.
- Windows based PCs: This system requires the use of Microsoft Internet
Explorer 4.5 or above.
- Macintosh Computers: This system requires the use of Microsoft Internet
Explorer 5 or above.
